SMOOK PEARSON

 Born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee. Smook Pearson, aka Fat Smook, grew up on the impoverished east side of Jackson, Tennessee. 

Smook Pearson has been in the streets since he was 13 or 14 years old, living the street life, which landed him behind bars a few times.

No matter his adversities, he never lost his love for rap and the hip-hop culture. He started writing poetry, which was influenced by artists such as; Scarface, Tupac, UGK, 8 Ball & MJG, Notorious B.I.G., DMX, and Nas, just to name a few. After seeing his poetry turn into physical forms of music, Smook started turning his poetry into rap songs, which birthed Smook Pearson, aka Fat Smook. 

Smook’s music is raw and authentic.

You can see the city of Jackson, Tennessee, through his songs. Some people have said his songs are the soundtrack of the city.
